I know it has been such a long time since I’ve written, or even created content!
I apologize for that with my whole heart…
I apologize for dropping the ball even for a second when often times I have encouraged you not to.
I apologize for almost wanting to give up when I promised to always be a voice for not only Soca lovers but for those who look up to me. Whether it be my plus sized followers, those who watch my posts just for laughs, those who deal with insecurities and again those who look to Soca as a source of happiness just like I do. I just needed a minute to really heal. Yes, “The Soca Enthusiast” is apart of me but I was putting all of my energy into that and not really focusing on Priscilla.
Here is some transparency..
I wasn’t really loving on myself the way I should have. I would fuel up The Soca Enthusiast and everything linked to that opposed to actually taking time to love on myself, feed my spirit, and figure out the intricate things about myself like I should be doing. In the midst of that I burned out at some point. On top of that I went through (and I’m still going through) this weird situation that caused someone to lose me. Yup, I didn’t lose them. They lost me! It hurt because that was someone that I fought for and made excuses for to be in my life. I got over it pretty quickly but I’m still healing from it. I’m no longer deeply hurt, just disappointed with the understanding that life truly goes on. Whatever is for you, is for you. So to sum it up, I was dealing with feeling stagnant and unmotivated, with a little bit of boy drama. F all that now though! Lets goo! #SOCALIVESON
I’m using this blog entry as a placeholder to remind me to always keep pushing! Whether we like it or not there will always be obstacles. The good thing about life is trial and error. If something fails its not the end of the world. You just have to find another way to do what you want to do or get through whatever you are going through. Those obstacles are not the end. Often times its not the storm that ruins everything, it’s us expecting it to rain everyday. Umbrellas, and rain boots were created for a reason! Use the tools you have and go through your storm! It might rain for a while but the sun comes out eventually. You would still go to a Fete in the rain right?
So, lets try this again!
